About Us

Edwin and Niya Dix were married in June 2004 and were blessed with a set of twins on April 11, 2006 Edvin and Emya Dix . Unfortunately, the twins were premature and Edvin passed away shortly after birth. They later welcomed their third child fifteen months later Eryn Dix. Imagine losing a child while simultaneously birthing another. Years later Edwin (not to be confused with the predeceased Edvin) decided it was time to honor the legacy of their son. This is how the Edvin Bryce Dix Community Development Corporation was founded. Edwin Dix a local Real Estate Developer born in the City of Gainesville, and Niya a local Real Estate Broker partnered in EBD CDC a not for profit.

The purpose of the corporation is to provide economic development opportunities through increased access to resources which moves individuals and families to a state of self-sufficiency with a focus on affordable housing. Community Impact Events will focus on assisting residents with the exterior makeovers of their property thereby increasing the overall livability of their community.
